Formed in 1983 as Kebal and several other names.
The name Vomit came in 1985; they started to write their own material and play Death Metal.
The band split-up in 1989 but was partially reformed as Kvikksølguttene.
Kittil and Torben were in Mayhem for a short time, in 1987.

Formed in 1990, Skull is a very good but short-lived Thrash metal band from Stockholm.
The band split-up in 1991.

 NIHILIST 
Nihilist was active from 1987 to 1989, after what the band changed his name to Entombed.
At the beginning, in 1987, the band was named "Brainwarp"  and was influenced by hardcore and crossovers bands.
For their first demo tape in 1988, the band drafted in session vocalist Lars G. Petrov ("Drutten, drummer for Morbid) and Ulfe Cederlund as guitarist ("Napoleon Pukes", guitarist for Morbid).
The band split up on August 30, 1989.

 No information excepted that Oystein was playing in this band.
According to Jon (Metalion), this band was nothing more than a joke, when they were drunk.

 MAYHEM 
Probably the very first band of Øystein, formed in 1983.
Not the same "Mayhem"
It was before he met Manheim and Necrobutcher and they played only some metal covers.

 MUSTA 
It was a band formed by Necrobutcher and Manheim before they met Oystein.
MUSTA is the Finnish word for "Black".

 LEGO 
(Langhus Experimental Grave Chamber Orchestra)
LEGO was an experimental band formed by Oystein and Manheim in 1985-86 (?)
The concept was a fly's life from birth to death.
They had a few concerts and did experiment with different instruments and sounds.
One of these concerts was filmed : Live in Follorock 22/03/1986
The latest concept they were thinking was to arrange triangle concerts, leaving a specially designed place of Lego.
Unfortunately, it was never released..

 FLOWERS IN THE DUBSTIN 
Flowers In The Dubstin was a band formed by Oystein, Manheim and some friends from Ski.
This band was influenced by punk music.
It was short lived, they made only one live performance.

It was a one-man band formed in 1987 by Maniac just before to join Mayhem

 CHECKER PATROL 
 Checker Patrol was a joke band and a side-project of members of  Assassin with two members of Mayhem (Øystein and Jørn).
It was formed in 1986 and they released two demos.
The name came up as they took often the city tram, always without tickets.
So, they had to beware of the checkers who entered the tram randomly, checking if passengers had their tickets.

It was one of the first black metal bands from Hungary and was highly appreciated by Euronymous.

The band began in Norway in 1989 as "Abhorrent" .

Kvikkslvguttene was a side-project of Necrobutcher, Kittil Kittilsen and Torben Grue.
It was an attempt to reform Vomit.
They only record an EP and a full-lengh before to split up.

Formed in 1987, Mortem was a Death metal band from Norway (Oslo).
It was probably the first band of Hellhammer.
They recorded only one demo ("Slow Death") in 1989 before to split-up.
The producer of their demo was none other than Euronymous.

 ABORYM 
In Formed in 1992, Aborym is an industrial black metal project from Italy.
The name derives from : Haborym Sadek Aym a fire daemon with three heads, a duke of hell who commends 26 legions.
The band have described their music as alien black industrial.
They released 2 demos and 6 albums with several lineup featuring big names of black metal like Prime Evil from Mysticum, Attila from Tormentor & Mayhem, Culto Prietsu, Bard Faust from Emperor, etc...
Today, Aborym is still active as a trio.

 In 1992, Teloch formed his first band : Audr.
It was a black metal solo project and he recorded only one demo.
In 1995/96, Blargh joined the band and they changed their name to Nidingr as they changed their style; black metal (early), black/death (now).

Well, no many information about this band excepted it was a joke band formed by Occultus and the brother of Kessel (Perdition Hearse).

For what I know, the band is/was on Satyr's record label "Moonfog Productions" and they recorded only 2 songs.

 WURDULAK 
A "Wurdulak" is in reference to a werewolf but sometimes to a vampire or a wizard.
 One of the countless projects with Maniac.
Formed in 2000, Wurdulak was/is a black metal band from Oslo and Trondheim (Norway) including members from Necrophagia, Immortal, Bloodthorn.
Lyrics are about anti-religion & gore.
No news of the band after the release of their split video with Gorelord, in 2005.

Ava Inferi.
If you never heard about this band, it was a side-project of Blasphemer and his wife Carmen Susana Somes.
It was a gothic/doom band formed in 2005 and split up on May 2013.

Actually it is hard to say if the band is still active or not, there is no news since the Bloodletting EP in 2010

 Black/death metal band from England (Colchester).
It was formed in 2007 by Charles-Edward Alexander Hedger and David Bryan.
The band calls their music "Dark Aristocratic Metal" and lyrics are essentially about British military, literature, mythology, etc..
They played some live shows already including live session musicians.
It is hard to say if the band is still active since Charles joined Mayhem in 2012..

This collective included Kjetil Manheim, Sanna Saarinen and Conrad Schnitzler.

Sehnsucht is a complete departure from the music that fans associate to Maniac.
Here we have a dark ambiant/noise/electronic project formed in 2008 in Oslo.
Debut album "Wüste" was released in 2010 after what, no news from the band, the status is actually unknown.

At the beginning the band was only Maniac & Czral and they began working on in 1996.
